Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number and Web Tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.

Kimble Co. Crime Stoppers offers a new way for tipsters to send in their tips.  SMS Text is now available.  Send text from you celphone to report your information on crimes.  To send a message to the Kimble Co. Law Enforcement agencies anonymously, send your text to “CRIMES” or 274637.  Start the text with”tip581” which is our agency identifier.  Example  “tip581 there will be a fight behind the little store after school” or “tip581 jack is selling drugs to kids on middle street”.  Sending text to this service from your celphone is completely safe and anonymous.  You can still call Crime Stoppers at 446-TIPS or 8477 or submit your tip online at our secure web site www.kimbletips.com.   Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for your information on all types of crimes.
